Q: What are the next steps after submitting my inquiry?

Once your inquiry is received, a member of our team will review the details and contact you to discuss your needs further. To help expedite your request, be sure to have responded to all questions in the booking inquiry such as the date, time, location, and estimated number of guests you wish to have serviced as well as which services you are interested in. We’ll provide any additional information you may need and guide you through the process of booking our services, which is to complete the booking service agreement and submit the booking fee to hold the date and time.

Q: Can I modify the details of my inquiry after submission?

Yes, if you need to update or add information to your submitted form, please send us an email at j9defu@riseandshinefacepainting.com with the necessary changes.

Q: What are your rates?

Rates per Service (Face painter, Balloon artist, Glitter tattoo artist):

  • 1.5 hours (minimum) / $200

  • 2 hours / $300

  • 2.5 hours / $350

  • 3 hours / $400

  • 3.5 hours/ $450

  • 4 hours/ $525

  • 4.5 hours/ $575

  • 5 hours/$625

Please plan and book your time accordingly to avoid leaving anyone out. Most of the time, we have an event booked right after yours, and we may not be able to stay past the contracted stop time. If you exceed the time booked and we are available to stay, it will be charged in half-hour increments at $75 per half hour. The client will pay for the time booked plus any overrun, even if the client has delayed the time we start the actual painting.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, Venmo, Cash app, Checks, ACH (Zelle), and other secure payment options like Apple Pay.
There is a 3% processing fee for credit card and digital payments besides Apple Pay and Zelle.

Q: How many faces can you paint per hour?

One Face Painting Artist can paint approximately 10 to 15 full faces per hour, depending on the intricacy of the chosen designs. For half-face, eye art, or other simple 2-3 minute designs, we can accommodate about 20 faces per hour.

For big crowds, we offer super-fast, 1-2 minute, very simplistic designs in an effort to accommodate about 30 kids per hour.

Please note: These numbers are just an estimate and are not guaranteed due to factors outside of our control such as:

  • How much time the child needs getting comfortable and getting in and out of the chair

  • How still they are able to sit and keep their eyes closed

  • How distracted they are by their surroundings

  • How frequently they require redirection

  • How quickly they choose their design and follow instructions

  • How long they look at themselves in the mirror at the end (which is the best part of face painting, seeing the children's reaction)

  • Weather issues, unforeseen interruptions, and distractions like having to stop painting to redirect behavior in the line

  • Technical difficulties and equipment malfunctions

We will not force a child to get their face painted if they seem distressed or upset about having it done.

While we try to keep the line moving as quickly as possible, we enjoy providing a relaxed, calm, and fun experience for the guests rather than making them feel anxious and rushed to get out of the chair. We love to make each guest feel seen and celebrated and have their magical mirror moment.

That is why it is always best to have adult supervision and understanding that there will be a line for people to wait in, and that adequate time for the number of guests you are expecting is booked.

Please make sure the child’s face is free of oils, lotions, and food, and that they are not eating or chewing food when they sit in the chair as we cannot paint them while they are eating.

Q: What is your refund policy?

CANCELLATIONS | REFUNDS | RESCHEDULE

Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least 7-14 days prior to the event, and we will make every effort to meet your needs provided that we are not already booked on your requested reschedule date.

If you need to cancel the event, your booking fee is not refundable but could possibly be applied to a different date, provided that we are available at the requested reschedule date.

If you book a date with us, we turn down other clients for that time slot. This is why our booking fees are not refundable.

We do not offer refunds for inclement weather, so please secure an alternate indoor location for your event in advance.

Should our Artist get sick or have to cancel, every effort will be made to find a replacement Artist. Should that fail, the client’s booking fee will be refunded.

Q: Do you require a fee to book the date and time of my event?

Booking Fee

A non-refundable 50% booking fee of the total estimated cost of the event is due 14 days prior to the event.

The remaining 50% and any additional charges are due on the day of the event upon the artist’s arrival.

The booking fee is guaranteed, and the date isn’t considered booked until the booking fee clears the bank.

Booking fee must be received 14 calendar days prior to the event, or the client runs the risk of losing that date.
